Job Summary Student Developer for Purdue Broadband Team Project We are currently seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented student developers to assist in a Rural Broadband Project.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive program for systematic investigation of Internet plans across different geographical areas.
The program should autonomously execute a step-by-step process from data generation to analysis.
For example, Pick a geographical area and a target Generate a set of random addresses within the selected area Systematically capture, organize, and format this data into a structured tabular file Extract internet plan data from various sources Analyze the resulting data, and generate statistical charts to visually represent findings Required Skills Proficiency in managing tabular files (.
csv, .
xls), preferably with experience using libraries such as pandas.
Demonstrated ability to write web crawlers/scrapers.
Experience with multithreading/multiprocessing programming.
Strong skills in analyzing tabular data, preferably with experience using libraries such as sklearn.
Ability to generate statistic charts using libraries such as matplotlib and seaborn.
Qualifications Current student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
