Second Baptist Childcare Ministry is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to fill the role of Childcare Director for our registered ministry childcare center.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of early childhood development, a commitment to faith, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
*Responsibilities:* o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
o Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
o Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and maintain high standards of care.
o Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote Christian faith, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
o Continuously assess and evaluate program effectiveness, adjusting as needed to meet the evolving needs of children and families.
o Provide assistance and support to children with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and inclusion in program activities.
o Build strong relationships with parents, serving as a trusted resource for information and support.
o Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
o Engage with the local community to promote the childcare center and establish partnerships with other organizations and service providers.
o Recruit, hire, and train qualified childcare professionals, ensuring that all staff members adhere to best practices and maintain high standards of professionalism.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and support for professional growth.
o Facilitate opportunities for staff training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
o Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors, following all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
o Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and materials.
o Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and procedures, conducting drills and training sessions as necessary.
*Qualifications:* o Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field.
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early childhood education setting.
o Knowledge of state licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
o Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
o Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
o CPR and First Aid certification o Ability to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $37,000.
